We pulled a handful of low-resolution interface images that are recognizable as part of the original site's design — banners, gallery thumbnails, header marks — and surfaced them with credit. Two reasons. First — the original site was a small, surprisingly warm corner of the early-2010s web, and watching it fade isn't great. Second — every World Games leaves a wake of dormant domains; using one as a typographic bookmark between Games (Athens 2011 → Santiago 2027) felt like a more interesting use of the URL than letting it cycle through registrar parking pages.
